Kissing Chickens. What is your opinion?

We all love em. But what ways do you show your affection to your chickens? I know, kissing chooks may sound a bit gross to some people, but, to be honest, I always kiss my chickens (not on beaks!). I love them! I give them a gentle peck on their feathers like I would kiss my horse, or my dog. What about you?

I've had chickens take corn from between my lips, we call that kissing.
I also kiss my chickens heads. It calms them.

My hens squat down when I pet them. If I don't pet them, they peck my feet, so I usually am able to beat them to the punch. However, when ever they catch me by surprise and peck my feet, I raise my hand too smack them, and they immediately squat down. After I pet them, they fluff up and shake like I did something sexual to them. Kissing them would make me feel weird.

I try not to get too attached to my chickens, I live in a residential area, so I have to process my roosters. I had to double cut a rooster that I hatched and raised. He cried out on the second cut....I will never ever forget him.

I'm so guilty of this! I kiss all my birds. My sister says I'm must be immune to salmonella and I agree. Their so cute I've even licked one.

They're so cute, and I love them... I kiss wild animals for crying out loud Usually on the head...
