Kitchen Aid mixers - who has one and how would you rate it?

I love mine! I finnaly got one a few years ago. I just got the pasta rollers for xmas and they are AWESOME. I am never buying noodles again. '

I was also able to get rid of my bread maker (which I really only used to beat the dough) and all the cruddy hand mixers takin up space in my drawer.

Next stop: meat grinder.

Tip: you can find brand new ones on craigslist all day long.

love, love. love mine. have the one where the bowl is raised and lowered- the top part is fixed. i'm a private chef and use the heck out of it. pizza dough every week. they are work horses and i wouldn't be without one. i have the pasta attachment- it's like having a 2nd set of hands. i also use the juice attachment every morning for fresh grapefruit.

I have owned one for about 10 years now and it has only needed one repair. I think I have the 275 watts which was the most at the time....now I think they come in 575 watts.

Warning! You WILL be baking more!!

ETA: I have the meat grinder and the food processor attachments. I admit I don't use the food processor attachment very often...I should get it out of the cabinet when I get home and hug it.

I love mine, though it's only one year old it's been used atleast 1 x a day no issues yet.

Single best kitchen appliance I ever bought. I was my personal reward for quitting smoking. I LOVE to cook, DH built my whole kitchen around my hobby, which is cooking. I love my KitchenAid, you will not be sorry.

I've had my KitchenAid mixer for about ten years and I loved it! I got the meat grinder and the fruit and veggie strainer for canning and it was sooooooo worth it! Made the best natural tomato juice and tomato sauces and spagetti sauces, yummo!

However, when I was starting up my canning tomatoes, I could not find my strainer that I got for my birthday in March so hubby went out and bought me another one. After everything was done, I decided to clean out the closet, there was my original strainer, new in box! now I got two of them, I am willing to sell the extra one, brand new in box for $45.00 plus shipping. Anyone need one for the upcoming garden? (Trades might be considered!)

i bought my daughter a pink one about 3 yrs ago.. she makes bread about 3 times a week or more and it is starting to whine a little..kneading bread is hard on any machine. if that is what you specifically want it for i would rethink or be prepared to replace every so often.. i have kneaded bread a couple of times but mainly use mine for the cakes, cookies, etc and it is 23 yrs old and no problem.

I have an older one and I LOVE it... My grandma has one form the 70's and everything on it still works great.. Never had to repair it or buy replacement parts.. I will be getting the meat grinder for mine soon, for ground turkey and chicken..

I LOVE MINE

No problems and I make bread alkl the time. I just bought myself the meat grinding attatchment and ground up a bunch of venison. It worked great and we had an awesome meat loaf!!!

BUY BUY BUY you will not regret!!!

That's why I had to have mine repaired; I wore out the gears making bread. BUT, like I said, mine is the 275 watt model. Maybe the higher wattages are better for bread. It cost under $30 to repair the plastic gears.
