Kitchen in coop

Thanks for the recommendations! I actually do sell (milk, butter, yogurt, eggs, hatched chicks, and jam), DH says he wants to make it easy to sell organic chicken as a few people have been asking.

That floor plan was the original one but DH added 8 feet to the length and now we’ll have the kitchen in there...lots of alterations lol! So from the right side of the plans to the end of the center room (going to the left side) will be the same but the left side will have 8 more feet and I am putting the kitchen in there. So the kitchen will have a door going to the milk parlor and a door into the coop where the quail and brooder are.

He is putting a slope in so it can be cleaned easier.

Still planning on hydronic around the brooders...the thermostat will have to be different there. I have 18 brooders in the plan so the pipes will have to loop around them.

Wow that sounds great. If you can, go all out. Think of everything you would need for all you do and go for it.
Dont forget what you might want for yourself, for those long hours you will spend out there.
Can't wait too see it finished.

Right an incubator area has been discussed...right now I am skating by with two styrofoam incubators but it is hard to keep up so we may have to buy a full cabinet incubator...I need to find a used one!

A nice warm room away from all the dusty brooders! Just a closet sized room with that super cool heat/cool system would be a great thing, in my dreams.

I found someone who had removed several things from a high school kitchen (ovens, sinks, walk in freezer, 60 qt mixer) and he had it on Craigslist for maybe a week when I found it but when I contacted him he had scrapped it. That would have been such a find!

Walk in freezer and he scrapped it????? So sorry for your loss! Keep watching, there are some great finds even in the free category.
