Kitten advice - any vet techs around today? UPDATE Pg 2

sounds like a reaction to the dust in the new litter, change it out and see if it clears up if it does you have an answer, if it doesnt within a couple of days have her checked by a vet...

UNLES of course shes lacking apitite, or refusing to drink acting lethargic ect...

but if its just some sneezing and watery eyes id definatly say dust...
when i worked at a vets office we got alot of cats and dogs comming in this time of year with similar symptoms, dust and pollen were typically the common issues!

Just wanted to give an update. Changed the cat litter back Monday and noticed an improvement in her eyes yesterday, still sleeping and sneezing quite a bit but less discharge. Today she still napped some but didn't hear her sneeze much and when I got home about an hour and a half ago from work her eyes were clear and she was following me around like normal. She even tussled with her brother a little! YAY!!! Thank you everyone for your advice and looks like I won't be buying that brand ever again!

I have to just respond to your point of not getting on your case because you didn't take kitty right to the vet, because this has been a pet peeve of mine lately. I agree with you that a sniffly kitty is probably not an emergency and I think it's fine that you are asking for advice here.
What I get cranky with are the post that say things like "My horse has been on three legs for the last week and I now I see bone sticking through - do you think I could make a splint for him?"
THOSE are the posts that make me bang my head on the wall!

I agree completely. I think the posts that ask for advice with the "I can't take my (blank) to the vet because a,b,c,d" when clearly it is something that needs to be taken to the vet for are something of a problem lately. OTOH, something simple or questionable like sniffly kitty or chronic yeast infection in a dog's ear if you don't clarify your intentions about what advice you're looking for there has been an abundance of negativity in some comments and an assumption that taking the animal to the vet is not an option. Unfortunately, if it isn't stated in the post, it's been thought of as the OP is refusing to take said animal to the vet or seek proper care simply because they are asking for advice here. I've seen it happen a lot lately and while I recognize that is most likely due to the example you mentioned that doesn't mean everyone that is doing that.

Sorry, this may not have come out quite right (as is the case with typing!). No offense was intended and I'm not trying to be rude at all.
