How would you go about giving a kitty a bubble bath?
Our darling Shadow has very long fur... lately it's begun to cause problems when she uses the litter box. We have to use wet wipes on her a few times a week when she manages to get something yucky stuck in her tail and bottom fur. She is very good about the wipes, but I noticed an unpleasant odor and think it's time for a real bath.
I can remember long ago holding a barn cat in a bucket of warm water with a towel protecting hands, but we would hate to do it that way with sweet cuddly Shadow kitty.
We're also thinking of trimming her fur a little in that area. Would it be bristly and uncomfortable?

Trim her rear with scissors. Put warm water in whatever you decide to bathe her in. A towel on the bottom will make her feel more secure. Hold the cat securely by the scuff of the neck to control her. My cats, while they did not like the bath did not make all that much of a fuss either. It is easier if you have two people. I didn't look but there may be a video on you tube on bathing a cat. There is a video on everything else. It might be helpful.
