I've tried to find things online and while they exist I'm a bit too new/slow to convert them to the pattern I'm doing.
Do any of you happen to have or know of a pony or horse body or better yet just a head pattern that could be done on a 20x25 square? Preferably just knit on purl or something. I'm doing a basketweave quilt and I want one of the 20x25 squares to have a pattern of a horse in it.

Thanks for any help you can give!

Horse Illusion Knit Pattern. It is only about 10 inches wide. http://kkhymn.wordpress.com/tag/horse-illusion-knit/ PDF download can be found in 2nd paragraph. It's a step in right direction anyway.

I'm guessing by looking at the numbers this would be about 11 x 12 inches? I don't knit or crochet. The 1 above had 33 going across and she said it was 10 inches wide.

Sorry, I know this isn't what you are looking for. It is crochet and not knitting. I came across it searching for a pattern for you. I had no luck with. I thought it was cute.

Two more crocheted horses from the same pattern as before, one smaller (one strand of (#2) instead of 2 strands) and one larger, made with chunky weight. I say the small one, 12" high, is "decorative" size and the large one 22" high is "hugable" size.

What do you mean by using a # 2 to make the decorative size?
If you didn't make this one, can you please tell what site you found it on?
I have the pattern, but find it's a little too big for what I want to make, and like the smaller size.

Thanks!

Hi
I am also wanting to make this smaller pony - have attempted the big one as per the pattern online but I don't like that size. Did you perhaps find the smaller pattern? I am already using a thin yarn so I don't see how it can be made much smaller by following the same pattern. Would much appreciate if anyone has the smaller crochet pony pattern to pass on. Thanks :)
