knocking down their roost?

Ok thanks! Two usually sleep underneath, but only recently they have been knocking it off. (last 3 days). Are they trying to get under it but they are too big?
Exactly. A couple screws on each roost will solve that...or jam a wedge in between ends of roost and wall.

Also hard to tell from the pic but it looks like the one roost is right in front of a opening
Too close to something, hard to tell what it is.

OK the picture is just one I found on the page I bought the coop from. The "opening" is just a nesting box. We currently have it blocked off because they are not ready to lay eggs yet. And they are just 11 week old bantams. The heaviest one probably ways like 10 oz. Thanks for your help everyone!

We took out the roost closest to the nesting box, and they still just all slept on the ground but thank you, because of aart’s post I finally realized that the roost was blocking g the nesting box anyway thanks for all your help!

And yes the coop is quite small, we are not very happy with the coop’s size and quality. We are going to build an extension to the run sometime before winter(hopefully). To anyone looking to buy “the clubhouse coop” from my pet chicken, just know that it probably won’t last more than a year.

Put some paint or stain or waterproofing on it to help preserve it and it will make a great grow-out or broody or isolation coop.

Yes mine too is small. My husband took off the back portion and more than doubled the size~it’s still TOO SMALL lol. We’ll be building a better one. For now it’ll do for my 4 girls. And those roosts were the first thing to go!
