Know it's a duckling topic in a chick forum, but....Cayuga quackers.

I've heard of cayugas of having yellow on their chest and then feathering out black....I'm not an expert, but I think they are cayugas!!!!

Hmmm...I'm not sure.
My cayugas are black head to toe with a very slightly lighter grayish yellowish tint to the breast. They grow up to be pure black with the cayuga green sheen.
The eggs won't tell you much - cayugas lay eggs that can be black, blue, greenish, gray or white so the one you showed looks fine for that. The size is ok too for a cayuga egg.
They are adorable though

This is one of my cayugas at 2 days old. It only has a tint of colour to its breast.

Maybe this is a better picture actually:

Maybe you should email the seller and ask if they could have either a mixed parentage or if it could be something other than a cayuga.
I am leaning towards them not being cayugas...

Is that Schuyler Lake near Utica? If so, and if you want some cayugas I have some hatching in 4 days and am near Ithaca. Just a thought

They do look like the swedish ducks that I just hatched out for a friend, and not at all like the Cayuga ducklings that we bought from a farm store. Good luck with the seller! But the swedish ducklings were very quiet and followed the kids all over the house.

I'm certainly not an expert but my cayugas (5 weeks old now) were completely black: feather, feet, bill at 3 days old and still are.

They look like the babies I usually hatch.. Mine are Cayuga mixed with Pekin.. They have the yellow bib and the two toned feet. They look like Cayugas but they are mixed with something. If they are listed as "pure" Cayugas, I woud question the seller. But if it states that they are mixed, then thats what you got. I would read the item description fully before contacting the seller. They are ADORABLE though

i have had Cayugas for a couple of years and many of our ducklings have hatched with yellow spots on their chests which disappear when they are fully feathered out. One of
My Cayuga hens developed white feathers her first year, which is not unheard of, but usually they develop these white feathers later in life.
