Know whats worse then a silkie that went broody?

Having 3 go broody. I have no eggs to put under them. My eggs arent fertile anymore because i dont have a roo.

time to go break them.
 
LOL.. I had 1, then 2, then 3, then 4.. and the night before hatch, number 5 joined the broody party. But for 6 months prior to me allowing them to hatch, there was consistantly 3 or 4 sitting on nothing , hissing and biting and screaming and protecting the pine chips they were sitting on.
Good luck breaking them- they can be really determined!
 
Isn't it a bummer when they do that? I have 2 chronic broodies and generally try not to keep roos, so all their efforts are a waste of time.

They werent sitting when i went out their today so hopefully their broke from it.
 
I'll cross my fingers for you if they aren't on the nests right now. I know how they love to sit those eggs.
