This has probably been asked a million times, but what are some signs that a pullet will start laying her eggs? I have a new pullet I got that is about 5 and a half months old.

thanks

.

But some of the indications

1. Red, large comb
2. Red, large wattles
3. Squatting
4. Wide(r) pelvic bone distance
5. Egg Song
6. Interest in the nest

last, but not the least,

7. they will lay when they want to lay

Mine are still tiny at 19 weeks but I notice them checking the nest box and chatting away to my hen while she sits waiting to lay her egg And she doesn't sing. She just seems to tell them not to leave her alone .and the pullets started aggressive behaviour towards my Chihuahua
