Hello all! My name is Natalie and I've just adopted 8 little ladies, (I hope!) in the last month. I have three buff orpintons, 3 black sex-links, 1 sliver laced wyandotte, and 1 barred plymouth rock. The first six will be 4 weeks old on Monday and the last two are just a few days old. I went to the feed store today to pick up more feed and came home with the SLW and the BPR. :) Whoops! So far, everything is going wonderful. I ended up building a separate brooder for the two littles since they were already getting pecked at by my bigger girls.
Backyard Chickens has been SO extremely helpful over the last month. I do love it here!
When I'm not tending to these girls, I am most likely hanging with my kiddies, dd1 5, dd2 3, and ds 4mo, and my sweet professor husband; knitting, reading, sewing, or hooping.

! Always great to welcome other Kansas folk! Same thing happens to me - that's why I'm always careful to avoid the chicken section when I go to Orscheln's or TSC!!! You can chat with other Kansas folks in the KS thread of the link below! Hope to see you around the forums!

Welcome to BYC! I'm from Kansas as well, and new here too. Glad to have you! You have some of the same chicks I have.
