LA/MS Tornadoes

We need to think of these folks today. Crews are saying that there is at least 150 miles of destruction varying in width across LA and MI this morning.The tornado itself was nearly a mile wide with winds estimated at 160 mph. I couldn't imagine. The tornado claimed 10 lives, including 3 children.

Our county was under tornado warnings yesterday and I basically could do nothing but watch full-time weather coverage yesterday, preparing to go to the basement. Thankfully we were unscathed. I feel for the Mississippi folks.

What's left of those storms is just passing through here this morning, in a much tamer version.

Things like this always make me want to jump in the truck and go offer whatever is needed.
Unfortunately, I can't do that.
