Hello... I am new to back yard chickens... This week I have purchased 30 pullets, 10 Golden Comets and 22 Black Australorps, they had all been doing great until this morning. I went to go check them and change out everything, I have one Golden Comet that is having trouble breathing, she is very labored and makes a faint peep while ex hailing. Does anyone have any advice or know what I should do?? They have medicated chic starter and are under a heat lamp at 90-95 degrees, my set up is very clean and spacious..... She also seems to still get around very well but you can tell something is not right with her, and I have got her to drink a little too...

I dont know how to help but I am having a similar problem. I have a broody hen who on Thursday hatched 5 chicks. One seems to have labored breathing and makes a constant wheezing/peeping noise as it breathes. The hen has started picking on it and chases it away. It is always sleepy but its still eating and drinking :( I don't know if I should try and hand raise it or if the mother knows best and is picking on it because she knows it's not healthy. I feel so terrible for the poor little thing. Good luck!

Well I gave my baby a few more days and it has made a full recovery!! I am going to give credit to medicated feed and a clean, warm brooder!! I hope your baby gets better too!!
