Ladder design

Hello. I am interested in opinions on the tread spacing on the ladder up into the coop. My old one that I was given was from 6" to 7" spacing, and 6 feet long??
Ladder or a ramp?
I prefer ramps about 10" wide, with cleats at 4" spacing, set at an angle ~30° from the ground.
Might help to show your coop and pop door, might not even need a ladder/ramp.
Some folks just use a step or two.

Thanks for you ideas. So I went ahead and built my Ramp, 6 feet long with the cleats 5" apart. It is 9' wide. My coop is about 2' above the ground but it is on a slope, so it took 6' to work. Thanks aart

You can always put something underneath the low end to make ramp less steep...and long.
Also protects the end from rotting.
