For the little door to get in/out of the run and coop, would a little ramp with pieces of wood across for a grip work or just a plain small little ladder work...or both?!
Thanks

I think they might be tempted to roost on a ladder type thing.

We have a little ladder which leads from the run up to the henhouse and they all figured it out pretty quickly (going up the ladder was easier than coming down at first). But no one roosts on the ladder, I don't think.

I have a ramp on mine. The first night one of the hens roosted in the doorway with the other 5 on the ramp below her. The next night one was in the nestbox one on the floor and four on the ramp. A few nights ago, we put them all on the roost after they settled in for the night and now they are all on the roost at night. Hopefully they will continue to roost on the roost.

I use a ramp with hardware cloth stapled to the top of it. You just have to make sure there are no sharp edges. Works great. I also use hinges on the ramps so they can be folded up out of the way when I'm cleaning the run.
