Ladder roost?

    I need to add more roosting space to my coop, but I don't have much room. I keep seeing ladder roost and the look like they would work great but it looks like they would end up pooping on the birds below them? how does this work?

    I think the idea behind the ladder roost is that it provides a nice variety of levels for different birds as well a lots of roost in a small area. Since the ladder boards are spaced apart they should avoid the poop on each other... I hope mine is far enough apart lol. Mine is actually hinged off the ceiling joist so I can lift it up for cleaning if needed.
