Out of our 9 we have two that are pale yellow and 7 that are a reddish sandy colour. We were told when they were dropped off that the two yellow chicks were boys and the 7 reddish ones are girls. Is this correct?

I have no idea what breed they are. We rescued them from a care home. They paid for the eggs and an incubatior from a company and when the chicks had hatched the company come and take the incubator back and the care home was left to dispose of the chicks.

Without knowing what breed they are, it's impossible to know if that's accurate or not. There definitely are some, typically sex-links, that hold true to that but you need to know that that's what they are.
