I was thinking about birds like always and noticed on a table cloth we have that there are vorweks (gold lakenvelders) on it. Then I saw a deleware on a calender and was thinking about crossing them. If you were to cross a deleware cock onto lakenvelder hens would you get a bird with barring in the hackle, saddle, and tail? If so it would be interesting to breed some deleware patterned lakenvelders or vorworks with barring.
I am asking here because there are some genetics experts that know way more than I could even think to know.

Yes you will get F1 birds that are barred and look similar to the lakenvelder in color. The neck and head will have some white feathers mingled in with the black . To improve the black on the head and hackles you would back cross an F1 male to a female lakenvelder , this will produce your BC1(back cross 1) offspring which will have better looking barred hackles and a body type more like the lakenvelder. Pick the best looking BC1 male offspring and back cross him to a lakenvelder female, this will produce the BC2 offspring. You should have some pretty good looking barred lakenvelder with the correct body type in the BC2.

Would I follow the same thing if I were to use 'gold lakenvelders' or vorwerks? Also would the barring stay the same or would it 'fade' away after crossing to lakenvelders for a few generations?

Cross a male delaware with a female vorwerk. The F1 males and females will be barred. The F1 females will be silver and the males will be heterozygous for silver and gold.

If you do this cross I would like to see a picture of the chicks and an adult silver F1 female. They may show some red on their backs and then they may not. I can only guess at the genes found in the vorwerk. It will be ok if the silvers have red on their backs.

Back Cross an F1 male with a female vorwerk. This will produce BC1 barred males and females that are gold or vorwerk like birds.

Take the BC1 barred vorwerk male and cross it with a female vorwerk - you should get some barred vorwerk.

While you are crossing you will also get barred lakenvelder.
