Jack started climbing the mountain to his favorite ledge, using his wings to propelle up up distances what a fox without wings couldn't.

Jack landed on the ledge and leaned against the mountain. He shut his eyes heavily and took a deep breath, clearing his head.

Mali sighed to herself and focused hard. Suddenly a black light flared around and solid black wings appeared over her shoulders. She gasped in surprise. Her eyes went grey, then black again. "How... how..." She asked to herself. "Wings..." she whispered.

Vlad looked up at Jack "What's his problem" he thought

Jack remained motionless, only the rise and fall of his chest proved that he was indeed living, and not a creature of stone. After a few moments he opened his eyes again and exhaled a deep breath. He looked down and caught Vlad staring up at him "Got a problem?" He growled, ruffled his wings.

Mali sighed to herself and focused hard. Suddenly a black light flared around and solid black wings appeared over her shoulders. She gasped in surprise. Her eyes went grey, then black again. "How... how..." She asked to herself. "Wings..." she whispered.

Mali ran over to Vlad. "Vlad! What's going on?" Mali asked. 15 feet of new found black wings extended from Malis shoulders. "Did you do this?" She asks, her black eyes sparking with excitement.

Jack rolled his eyes at her excitment over something as silly as wings.

Mali was too excited to hear Vlads answer. She flapped her wings and took off to the sky. Wind raced through her fur. "Wow..." she said to herself.
