Noss flew down soon after and pinned the owl by his neck with her talons, embedding them into the dew. Rocca slowly flew down towards the ground, next to Rocca.

Noss grit her beak as the owl's talon slashed across her face, scratching it. Rocca landed softly and grabbed the owl's legs. "Did you honestly think you were going to get away? Ha!" Rocca mocked.

He lunged forwards with his head and bit Rocca's wing, saying nothing in reply.
 
Rocca swatted the owl on the head with one of her talons. She mentally breathed a sigh of relief that it wasn't her wing where a tendon had been pulled. "Noss, we should probably get going to the prison."
