Then outside the door, above the sounds of the cannon shells wissing overhead and exploding when they hit something, Kendra heard a faint hissing. Then the chains on the door fell to the ground with a clatter. Madara would have heard it, but he was much too far down the halls and the cannons had started hitting the sides of the fort and that was making tons of noise. The door to her cell flung open, and Rocky and Megan rushed in. Rocky started melting through her chains while Megan explained. "The humans are getting too close for comfort, but we have a ship that one of our friends stole from their port and brought here. We already have all of the other prisoners on board and neither Vlad nor any of his 'friends' here know yet. We have them on the lower decks of the ship so we can take everyone that's here with us, but the rebels won't see this as trying to steal all the prisoners. Now go with Rocky and he'll take you to the ship and I'll go tell the rebels. We're gonna need to take them with us or Vlad might use his magic to keep the ship here. Now go, GO!" she said as the last chain clattered to the floor. Rocky hoisted Kendra onto his back so she wouldn't have to use her injured leg and took off down the halls towards the river. Megan ran the other way to warn the others about the escape plan.
