(They are in the Arctic and its winter, the ground is frozen solid. Even if they could dig, how would they know where? The tunnel snaked around a lot, they aren't anywhere near the hole)

(Sorry, I don't think I've been RPing in Lakia long enough to know too much = / But I unless those are HUGE rabbits, I don't think a great horned owl could fit through the hole if Kate struggled to get through one...)

(They are Arctic Hares, who weigh anywhere from 9-12 pounds. Female Arctic Foxes weigh about 6.5 pounds and Great Horned Owls only weigh between 1.5 and 5.5 pounds. That should give you a pretty good estimate of how big they are)
