As Kate was running, a small white shape popped up beside her. It chattered on in an strange language that Kate seemed to understand. She followed the rabbit towards a hole in the ground and followed it down, barely squeezing through, but managing.

(They are Arctic Hares, who weigh anywhere from 9-12 pounds. Female Arctic Foxes weigh about 6.5 pounds and Great Horned Owls only weigh between 1.5 and 5.5 pounds. That should give you a pretty good estimate of how big they are)
