Lakia (RPG) ***Upcoming Plot twist.

"Perhaps we'll run into her here." Thistles said as they got closer and closer. "Maybe then I can speak with her. But... how do you for example get here without wings?"

Kate slowly blinked her eyes open, looking around the small den, puzzeled. Where am I? She wondered, flexing each limp seperately to make sure nothing was broken. After her eyes had adjusted to the lack of light in the den, she tried to sit up, but nearly fell over when a sharp blast of pain ripped through her skull. Gritting her teeth together, Kate hauled herself into a sitting position, ignoring the fact that her head felt like it was splitting in two.

"Hey, hey, hey" A voice called from the doorway, causing Kate's head to snap around and another sharp burst of pain made her wince.

"Jack?" She mumbled, tilting her head to the side.

"Uh, yeah" He replied, shifting his legs awkwardly.

Kate placed a paw to her head as the word tilted around her, threatening to throw her back into unconciousness as she tried to think.

"Easy..." He murmured, placing a paw on her shoulder to steady her "You hit your head pretty badly... or should I say, Lark did."

Suddenly, it all came flooding back at once. The mission, Lark, the fight, the venom... then Jack. Kate's vision blurred around the edges and she crumpled into blackness as her mind gave up trying to sort through it all.

The next time Kate woke up, her headache had lessened slightly and she was able to sit up without too much trouble. All of her wounds except one were healing slowly, although she still felt tired and drained. One wound, however, was not healing, and remained open. She twisted her head around to look at it, frowning when she noticed two distinct puncture marks resembling a vampire bite at the base of her neck. The fur around them was a darker shade, not yet back, but not white either. She was confused for a moment, then realized that it must have been the place where Lark had struck with the venom while trying to turn her into one of them. The thought gave her shivers, and although the den was quite warm, the wound remained cold as ice.
