Kat screeched in pain and with one final effort, kicked away from him. She ran across the cave as fast as he wounded body would carry her and knelt down next to Jack "Jack!" She cried, shaking him "Jack wake up!"

Kate whipped around to face him, swaying on her paws due to lack of blood.

He sped up his pace now catching up rapidly

She planted herself over Jack's unmoving form, staying back to protect him.

"Jack" He growled

"Leave him alone" She snarled fiercly, struggling to stay concious.

"Stay away from him!" She hissed, blood spraying through her bared teeth.
