The creature laughed as it flew up to where Jack was, revealing black wings. It reached down, biting onto Jack's muzzle and twisting it upwards, breaking it within seconds and making it hurt to bite.

Jack screamed again and lashed out with his remaining claws, splitting open a deep gash on his chest.,
 
Kate flinched as she heard Jack's agonizing screams from miles away. She quickly blinked away her tears and ran faster. She had to get to her team before Gina.

The creature roared in pain and grabbed Jack by his injured back leg, shaking him like prey. The fracture grew further, to the point where the bone was showing. A black ooze began to drip inside the gash.
 
The bone had completely severed into 2 pieces at this point. Tendons and muscles tore, threatening to sever his leg completely. Satisfied, the creature threw him face-first into a large rock, knocking several of his fangs out.
 
Jack rolled into the snow, knocked unconcious. His leg was bent at an awkward angle and his head tilted back into the snow, exposing his soft throat and a single scar across it.
 
The creature chuckled sinisterly when it saw the scar, remembering the moment he gave him that scar. The creature then grabbed Jack by both of his forelegs, flying off with him somewhere.
 
Several hours later, Jack was violently thrown by his broken back leg into a small cave, obviously far from the arctic. The creature slammed the door, locking it as it disappeared into a puff of smoke. There was no dirt whatsoever; the ceiling, walls, and floors were made entirely out of hard, igneous rock so it was impossible to dig and get out. In the center of the ceiling there was a small hatch, leading to somewhere though it along with the door that Jack was thrown into was sealed tightly.
