They rolled their eyes and flew down the canyon, following Nelek. Jerome wrapped a vine around Ranu's legs while Nelek flew up to the tower where the smokewolf was waiting.

"When do we meet the smokewolf?" Kovi asked the fox.

 

[OwlLover]

"This way" The fox said, going up the tower. She turned her head when she heard the door open, it was Nelek with Ranu.

Kovi smiled at Ranu, then turned to the smokewolf.

Nelek set Ranu down, then sat down with his siblings as they bowed their heads. The smokewolf gazed over Kovi, then Daru, then Ranu, and finally the others, taking everything in. "Kovi, Daru." He said coolly "I take it that you are with us now, correct?"

"Yes, master." Kovi answered for his family.

 

[OwlLover]

The smokewolf nodded. "Nelek, take Ranu to the convert chamber."

"Yes master." Nelek said, taking Ranu and placing her on his back as he phased through the wall with Ranu. The smokewolf watched him go before he began chanting. White smoke began wisp around Kovi, Daru, and then spread to the others.

Kovi and his family were silent.
