Rocky's cousin, sean, arrived with his entire tribe of Arctic Foxes. Almost the whole tribe was full-warriors, and those who were'nt were still trained well in combat. The fighting-portion of sean's tribe numbered no-less-than 50,000, not even couning the females. With the added reinforcements, the few surviving trackers quickly retreated, leaving Maria and Lark to fend for themselfs. Nobody knew where Lark was, but Maria was already on her way back to the Lakian camp in the cluches of Galenei.

(The largest Swan, which is a Mute Swan, weighs 25lbs on average. Thats 0.0125 US tons, not 10

As a Swan, his feet were meant for paddling, not picking things up and his grip was weak. Maria twisted her body viciously, wriggling free of Galantei's foot. She flared her wings to their full wingspan and banked sharply to the right, her smaller size allowing her to outmaneuver the larger, bulky Swan and gain altitude.
