“But I can tame you” he said, and the obsidian wrapped around all of Vlad’s paws. “Now, if you’ll listen…” “The Core itself dampens all magics, including dark magic. In a land of magic, you need at least one place to escape to. When I was assigned the core, I faded from memory. No guardian remembers the Core, or me. And neither will you, if you leave.” Galantei said, as a huge skeletal serpent came out of the lava. “Meet Hythederm. He is the reason for life. The Eldest Guardian. None know of him, except me.” More skeletal serpents came from the lava. “Without your magic, you are nothing.” Said Galantei. “And you can’t escape the core without me or Hythederm allowing you.”

"Oh please I know exactly where every guardian is. Do you not know who I am?"
 
“A vampire?” said Galantei. “No, I’m guessing a Guardian who went against our code. I can’t be sure of course.” He smirked. “I’m only a stupid swan.” Fire curled around Vlad. “This will only sting a little. Just kidding, it burns like a thousand fires.” Vlad and his obsidian boat pulled under. Galantei wasn’t going to kill him, but he would let him burn.
 
"Ha, you can't begin to fathom the ancient code" Vlad stood still to calm his mind. He raised his right hand dispersing the flame. " If you play with fire you will get burned"
