Mali winced in pain. "Problems." Mali scoffed. "The only problem you have is choosing the one you can trust. Apparently you don't know how to trust. This makes you already half beaten." Mali snarled, then tears at the fox's eyes, red blood falling off his muzzle. Before Jack could lunge or attack, she flew up, then dropped, full weight on Jacks neck, hindpaws on his spine. Then she glides forward, smacking Vlad's jaw repeatedly. Mali skids back on the ice, her eyes dark, coils of smoke surrounding her, her black wings extended.

Jack's legs crumpled underneath him, softening the impact and preventing his spine from breaking. He rolled onto his feet, stretching his back and replied "Mali, I never trusted you. Or anyone for that matter, you're the betrayed one here. Not me."
