Kate watched them suspiciously for a moment longer, then headed back out the crack in the wall, limping slightly but running non-the-less.

Cairo walked back into the building and began to pace.

When Kate passed Jack, he took a step after her, almost like he was going to follow her.

"Don't" She snapped, her voice dark and full of venom, stopping Jack in his tracks. Without stopped or even looking at him, she continued on her way.

Cairo glared at the ceiling of the building, almost as if he was unhappy with it.
