Cairo, noticing Manax's plan with his mind's eye, howled loudly. It could be heard for miles. There was something about it that herded everyone that heard it towards him.

"Fine by me" Vlad said as he perked up
 
Vlad hunched down toward her. Though he looked ready to strike he whispered


Maria don't move and everything will be okay
 
Rocca, being far behind Nero, noticed Valhalla running. She dove down onto his face unexpectedly and dug her talons right behind his eyes, damaging the retina and causing him to go blind for a while.
 
Cairo sent a mental message to FanDance:
"FanDance, don't follow Manax. Go the other way and you'll find Kate." He then shut his mind's eye quickly to insure that Kate didn't receive it.

He snapped and snapped at her with his jaws, ripping a few feathers from her wing and making flying very difficult for her.
