The smokewolf howled, summoning the pair of jet black horses.
"Kismet, take them to the gateway to St. Aggies." The smokewolf ordered. "FanDance, you come too."

"Yes sir." They said in unison, bowing their heads. "Children, come along! You need to take your test!" Kismet called to the children, though he was slightly gentler than FanDance was.

The foal, Damek, Arcturus, and Nyra followed behind Garron. Kismet and FanDance led them back into the canyon, Kismet feeling around for the spot to phase through.

Nyra and the others followed behind him.
"Call the snake." The smokewolf ordered as he passed by a small bat on the ceiling. The bat nodded and flew down, walking into a small hole in the wall. The smokewolf, Kismet, and FanDance waited.

Soon, an armadillo and a snake came out of the hole, followed by the bat. The snake and armadillo were far bigger than normal, the armadillo being about the size of a wolf and the snake as tall as FanDance when it stood up.
