After the pack had finished eating they trotted back to the meadow, watching FanDance's foals.

"Why?"

"I don't wanna talk about it." He growled, stalking off into the trees.

A rustle of grass and leaves could be heard nearby, followed by a brief streak of black before it disappeared below the grass.

Garron turned to the sound, snarling.

Samantha snapped her head around, hearing the snarl. "What was that?" The grass rustled further towards the canyon.

Garron's team was already heading towards the snarl, so they didn't answer.

Jerome and Nelek were walking along when they heard the rustle. "Do you hear that?" Jerome asked his brother. The grass stopped rustling, as if nothing was there in the first place.
