True to his word, Hades stopped a few minutes later. In front of them was a large, stone gate that extended well above their heads. On either side was a wall stretched into the trees as far as the eye could see. On top of this wall was a narrow path where several animals, including Jaguars, Cougars and Harpy Eagles, were standing, glaring down at Juniper and Hades. Hades said something to one of them in a strange language and the gates were opened, revealing a single female Ocelot on the other side.
"Hades," she greeted him formally, inclining her head slightly to look up at him. She had a distinctive accent, stronger even then Hades. "Who is this?"
"Amelia," he greeted her in a similar fashion, dipping his head to her. "This is Juniper. I found her on the outskirts of the city limits, she claims she is not a rebel, nor... one of them. I offered to show her to city in case she wanted to join." He explained.
Amelia walked closer to them, her gait was slow and cat-like, a natural predator. "Did you?" She murmured, pausing to sniff Juniper every so often. "And did you consider the risks of bringing an outsider straight into our city?" She questioned.
"I did, but she did not seem like threat." He replied, looking rather uncomfortable in her presence.
Amelia looked up from behind Juniper and stared at Hades "People can lie, and you are a poor interpreter."
Hades's lips curled back slightly, revealing his sharp teeth. For a second it looked like he was ready to leap onto the much-smaller Amelia and tear her apart, but he maintained his self-control and eyed her steadily "This is a matter for Sara to judge, not you. Take us to her, or I will go myself."
A faint grin curled up the corners of Amelia's mouth "Of course, Hades. Right this way." She said, her tone of voice shifting completely as she led him down a narrow path heading into the heart of the city.
Hades hung back for a moment and motioned towards the general direction of the city "Juniper, welcome to the rebel city of Kabile."
