She saw the claws coming but was to off blance to dodge. She yowled as the hit knocked her on her side. She hissed and swiped for his throat!

The cougar swept his tail against her abdomen

"What if we dig?"Jack suggested.

"Do you have a spoon?"

"Well, no, but I have claws."

Kate rolled her eyes "We'd stand a better chance fighting then digging. Follow me."

"Umm, I ah.. I can't turn around in here."

"I thought you had a small butt!"

"I do! But the tunnel is small!"

The omega cougar continued closing in on them

She flattened her ears and flashed her teeth. “I Will take you down!” she said! Though in her had she was uncertian.
She gathered her legs and lept at him.

"Its my tail on the line! Not yours!" Kate hissed.

"Then you turn around!"

"I can't!"

"Ooookay okay, fine. You win, now legs get outta here before something eats my tail!"

"That's what they all say" He roared as he lunged his teeth at her throat

"Its my tail on the line! Not yours!" Kate hissed.

The young cougar leapt from the bushes but tripped over a large rock exposing his presence

Jack jumped, hitting his head on the roof of the den. He cursed under his breath "I told you this was bad for my heart!"

Kate ignored him and backed out of the den, shaking the dirt from her fur "Theres just one, Jack. This shouldn't be hard!"

"Thats what you said that last time we fought together!" His muffled voice called from inside "I nearly lost my tongue!"

"Thats beside you wouldn't stop talking"

This what she was waiting for, she had purposely lept short of him, as he lounged up, she dropped down “now I've got you” she thought and pushed from ground straight at his belly with her head.
