I have a isa brown hen 1 year old, that our little boy put in our feedbox overnight. The next morning when I found her and took her out, she was unable to stand up. She is alert, eating and drinking, no fever, no apparent injuries. She can move both her legs, she is just not able to stand up and walk around. She has been like this for a week (after discussions with veterinary about observing her etc., our next step is x-rays) has anyone had this happen to a chicken or have any idea what the problem might be? Thanks.

Some chickens can have vitamin deficiencies where they have leg issues, but there are other problems like Mareks disease, and bacterial infections that it could be. You could go ahead and start her on B vitamins and vitamin E which are the ones affecting walking. PolyVisol baby vitamins are good, or you could put chick vitamins ion the feed store in the water.
