No we don't. We got our first 6 from a school that got them to watch them hatch. They turned out to be 3 girls and 3 boys. So we got 6 more girls. We don't think it would be practical at all to get anymore (or we would!) Separation is something that we've had in our minds as a 'what if' because it would change the entire set but as responsible Mamma and Dadda ducks we would do that. We haven't witnessed any sign of over mating although the focus has been on the 2 khaki Campbell girls as they seem to like them best. We will obviously endeavour to ensure that they are all happy, healthy and safe as a priority.

Are you confident that it could be over mating and nothing else? Xxx
Sounds like theyre very loved!! I actually misread the numbers, 3 drakes to 9 hens isn't too bad, but if they are favouring the two khakis, there is still a risk. As long as the boys favourite hens are coping, not showing signs of being overmated, then you may be okay. But when spring comes around their hormones will flare up, and you may find yourself needing to separate the boys.

I would feel her legs, check her feet, for anything unusual, if thats good and feels normal (no unusual heat or swelling), then I would encourage her to rest by crating her for a couple days, and doing water therapy as @New duck mommy 2021 suggested.
I'd have her in the water as much as you can, supervised. You might want to try scrambled eggs, or wetting her usual feed, if shes still a bit off it, that may get her interest. I would treat her with calcium gluconate too, to be on the safe side incase there is an egg stuck, the water therpay would also help with this.

If she isn't improving or gets any worse, if you can, I'd reccomend a trip to the vets.

I would say so xxx
Is it normal colour/consistency? Things to watch out for are green poops, or especially watery ones. This may occur due to what she is eating (or due to not eating), but the colour green can also indicate an infection. If it looks pretty normal, thats a good sign.

Hi.
The calcium arrived this afternoon and she happily are her peas coated in it. She managed to stand for possibly around 10 seconds when he put her down for her peas which is the longest she's stood since we brought her in the house on Thursday xxx
Did she favour a leg while trying to stand? Or are both seemingly equally weak/painful?
Any egg since the calcium?

Hi.
We have had 2 ducks in for 2 nights. This morning both had escaped their crates, used the living room as a toilet (as one would expect), and Xoxo (lame duck) is running around as usual. There was only one egg so we can't say for certain whose it is. They both escaped when hubby went to see to the others. Both back in now xxx

I found this in the bath. I'm not too trusting of Google lens. Can anyone help me identify it please? Xxx
