I have a 2 year old Rhode Island Red that was fine yesterday but lame today. She can't walk more than a step. She has no broken bones or injuries to her legs or body and doesn't appear to have any hurts when I touch her legs. Her feet look great. She is still eating and drinking but can't walk. When I place her on her legs she has a tendency to curl her feet back under. She prefers to just lay there and have her legs extending back. Just a minute ago I was able to place her feet or her and she held her own weight for about a minute but then tipped over. She seems to have her mouth open a lot like she is hot? fever???? Any help you can provide would be helpful. We are new chicken owners (Just 3 months and have so much to learn).
