My daughters six month old Serama boy started limping a few days ago. There is no bumble foot sore or scab, but we have soaked in Epsom salt anyway. He now doesn't seem to be able to walk at all and puts his wings out to balance himself on the ground.
I'm worried about Marek's, but his skin doesn't have the bumps at the feather shafts, here's eyes are not grey and the pupils are totally round. He eats and drinks just fine if you put it next to him.
I just put down a bird that seemed to have the same issue. I didn't know to check her eyes or skin though, but when it got bad enough that she couldn't even scoot to the water, I had to do the humane thing.
Now my daughter thinks we may have to put her favorite boy down like we did her girl.
Could it be Marek's without any other symptoms. I can't find any article that mentions the progression timing. We are giving him vitamins and everybody in the flock just finished tylan since respiratory issues were hitting some birds. His latest poop was runny and white/clear with bits of regular poop in it.
His comb is red and other than this progressive limp, now inability to walk, he acts normal. He misses when we pick him up and tries to get away. I have felt his legs and joints up to and above his hips and not sides seem to be in place with no breaks. The very first symptom was a limp with curled toes.
Could it be Marek's without any other symptoms? He came from a breeder that had a wide variety of birds, all healthy.

Have you tried a B vitamin? My Serama pullet has limping so I gave her 1ml of a liquid human vitamin B and she was back to normal by the next day.
