But she was fine after tht with bent legs

2 weeks before she starts laming one leg badly....then start dropping down to one side... i checked her both legs but no sign of injury or anything... whenever she try to hv food she pushed backward thts hard for her to eat... she s nt drinking water at all but having food. Cant sit straight on both legs . Falling on one side. Her legs are getting black in color.

I put her in seprate small house she is so bad . Her vent area s wide as she was gonna lay or maybe sun other reason.

Can anyone help me n share their exoerince pls.

If it is not viral or bacterial, it could be a nutrient deficiency. Here's some info on vitamin deficiencies in poultry: http://www.merckmanuals.com/vet/pou..._poultry/vitamin_deficiencies_in_poultry.html
I know Vitamin B is very important for leg health in addition to A,D,E. I suggest giving a Vitamin B12 1000 mcg injection at .25 ml/cc in the breast muscle. You can use a 25 gauge needle. Swab the injection site with rubbing alcohol on a cotton ball before injection. This should enhance the appetite and give the bird energy. You can do it once a week until symptoms improve. The same day, give some Poultry Nutri Drench orally. Put vitamin-electrolyte powder with 1 tsp of Probios dispersible powder in 1 gallon waterers the first day, then just vitamins-electrolytes 2-3 days a week. Make sure you are providing fresh good quality feed formulated for laying hens. let us know how your hen is doing. Shamos are a beautiful breed.

@Michael Applehi i m from uk i got sum vitamin drops i m giving her that she s nt getting better .yesterday i find out she has lice n mite .. they r small brown color fleas... i m treatment her with lice n mite powder now. I did treat her already with flubevet but did nt work unfortunately... is it possible this mite make her lame... n hw can i recover hr thanks

A few European chicken fleas wouldn't make a hen lame, but an infestation could make it anemic. If you see a few, there are more. I would clean all litter out of coop and treat the coop in addition to the birds.

@Michael Applei checked all other chickens n houses they r all fine ...still i clean them all n treat them with lice mite powder...i dnt know hw she got tht but i think she has lame leg bcs of jumping out of coop instead of using ladder...i m giving her vitamin trwated her with lice mite... she s eating perfect but nt drinking....she tries to walk but one of her leg dnt support her n she fall down. Dnt know wt to do will c few more days.

Try to separate the bird to a comfortable area where she cannot roost, or jump from any height. For the entrance to the coop, I use a plank ramp with 2" strips of wood 3" apart from top to bottom. The less of an incline, the better. Roosts placed about 12" off the floor and deep shavings on the floor help prevent injuries too. My main coop is built on concrete piers with a wood floor. I have about 16-18" of space between the ground and floor of my coop.
