Lamonas?

Does anyone here know anyone who has these birds? I have read they are thought to be extinct but then again (and i read this on the ALBS's website) there are reports of one or two flocks but the owners aren't selling anything yet as to get their flocks bigger. Why wouldn't the owners of the flocks give some intrested breeders eggs or chicks to help bring this breed back? Any thoughts?

it doesnt make sense to me either why someone would be hiding a rare flock like that... but eh, you could always try to make your own, it's explained here .

Know a guy who used to have these and he did ship them all across the US.But haven't seen him recently maybe should give him a call. They did lay very well. Had some trouble finding new breeding stock don't know if this is why he got rid of them? I know I will see him in a couple weeks from now. Mike

Oh i see. I read some where here on BYC that you can inbreed chickens as much as you want with out concequences like you would with people for example

Now dont quote me on this but the last I herd there is a APA judge or two in PA that has some and has been working with them for about 3 or 4 years now...

Has anyone out there found where you can purchase LF Lamonas? I would like to get some if possible.
