Alex tried to crawl out of the garden, but the hedge scratched her face and she left a pretty easy to follow trail. She tried to stop the flow of blood from the scratches as she scrambled to a nearby alley.

Lily turned around, wondering who the girl was and why she lived in such a large house. (Lily knows nothing about the outside world, like most monsters under 20. Monsters under 20 were born after the civilization went into hiding.)

Daniel tried not to laugh. If his plan worked, the army would have no chance of recruiting him! All that I'll need is a bucket of red ink, and a few sticks.
