Langshan Thread!!!

So cute! I have a broody sitting on my first 2 fertile Langshan eggs from the farm. Well, they are the first 2 that I have tried to hatch. They are due to hatch next Sat!

question, do all langshans have longer feathers above their eyes? pretty neat. I had the chance to see and hold an awesome standard sized langshan this weekend and that was something different I observedthat other chickens didn't have.

Well, it's interesting that you'd ask that. Langshans are supposed to have very wide heads. This kind of makes the feathers on their brows seem a bit longer than other breeds. You can sometimes see this on a White Plymouth Rock as well. It is a cool thing to see though!

My up and coming bantam cockerel from a Nov '12 hatch. Hoping he does well at shows.

at the York show April 13th??? I exhibited and I think I saw him my salmon Faverolle cockerel was right next to the langs

the only 2 of 12 that hatched, a little disappointed but very happy with my 2 loves!!

Daddy - White Langshan ( I sold him, or maybe I would try to hatch more)

The babies have the feathers on their legs! I can;t wait to see how they develop!! I wasn't going to keep them, but since only 2 hatch, I must keep them!!
