Well even though it's currently 35 C today at only 10am my place sounds like paradise compared.
I do like to cold but days and days of darkness is not fun.

Thank you! i will get some updated pics tomorrow and some of the roosterSorry! I apparently missed this post amidst my fun.
I'm not too worried about her tail angle at this point, those covers should come in and begin to soften the angle that the tail comes in at. I like her wing carriage alot, however I would be a bit concerned with breast and keel area in the third photo. It could be the shadows as I love her breast in the second photo. There is another thing, that unfortunately may change a little but won't completely dissipate. Her tail, instead of a nice upside-down semi-circle is more a V and the main tail feathers stack on top of each other instead of space each other facing outwards. If you have a male with the correct tail type, or even a tail that is too wide, it might help the future generations to widen those tails.
Thanks for posting the pics of your bird! Photos are always appreciated!
As per the comb, I haven't found that to be the case. Then again, would you want to breed when part of your head and face were on pain? Nope. I wouldnt. As for the daylight, it makes sense however a male will breed anything at any point in time once it matures and becomes fertile.
yes because we had to keep inside. So you breed and hatch in Winter ( Jan - March ), then raise till fall in which case they will be old enough to show.
Isn't is a hassle having chicks in Winter???
