Langshan Thread!!!

Nope my only hope is to find one for sale at a show. There are no Bantam Langshan breeders anywhere near me with quality stock. I do have some black and white eggs in the bator that came from florida but im wanting another cockrel so ill have 2 lines.

Hello all! Ive been slowly making my way through this thread. Irecently got a very nice trio of black Langshan. Love them, and in spite of the cold miserable spring the girls are laying every day. I have 8 eggs in the incubator right now to see how they do. They are all around 11 months old. Will post some pictures of my new Langshans soon!

So here is the rooster, he does have a martini glass back. He is quite the big boy and very mellow. Will get some side pictures when the weather clears up as well of some of the ladies.

When I bought him last Saturday, I didnt ask the right questions of the seller. I did get the sellers name though, so hopefully I can get more info on his particular lines. The seller is a young man who is pretty in love with the breed and shows quite a bit. He told me they were show/breeder quality birds. I was so stunned I found them that I guess I choked a litte. Would would have thought to find these at the tiny small animal swap. Most chickens there looked horrible so I was sure I was leaving empty handed till the last table had these.
