That's a hard one! He/she is pretty red in the comb for 14 weeks old. Is that usual for your birds? Love it that he/she and the dog are buddies!Hi, Matt. I forgot to say that George/ina is 14 weeks old now.
Hi, Matt. I forgot to say that George/ina is 14 weeks old now.
My first impression was pullet. The comb by itself would make me think cockerel but the lack of saddle at 14 weeks is telling. I think by 14 weeks "it" would be acting a little cocky if male. I'm going with pullet. Thanks, Matt. You are much help. I say the same points as you, any more, anybody? I think this is a really hard one.
OK, I got some pics. This is Lilly at 5 weeks. That's a 6-week old Americauna behind her. Is this normal appearance for a Langshan pullet? Or is Lilly probably a Billy?I think she looks like a pretty girl. I have three 6 week olds and I traded back the one I thought to be a He.... His tail wasn't as developed as the other two, but his comb was a little bigger and more pink vs yellow. Hope I'm right for both of us!
