I just bought a pair of GEORGOUS black langshans. I absolutely fell in love with these big, beautiful birds! Especially the cockrel. But I don't know anything about them. Someone give me the lowdown. I'll post pictures later. Come to find out, they were out of the flock of the champion and reserve asiatic at the show, WOO HOO! I love the black with the green sheen. Ok, I'm rambling, I'm just so excited

I have 2 black langshan hens and a white roo. Mine are not the most friendly, but they are well behaved. Except for Whitey the roo. He is a little rowdy. Not rowdy mean just rowdy. My girls lay daily, a nice light brown egg. They are beautiful when the light hits their feathers and the georgeous green sheen pops out.I've even caught a hint of purple at times. The girls are talkative. Mine have more of a sweet growl instead of a cluck. All around a good chicken.

I have a pair of black and a pair of white Langshans. HOPEFULLY sometime soon we will have the new coop done, and they will be seperated from the rest of the flock, to breed pure. I just LOVE my Langshans. My white hen, Sugar is a lap chicken that coos to me like a dove. The Roos are not very friendly, not mean, just not lap chickens. Spice, my black hen almost tolerates me touching her.

Here's mostly my boy, the little girl is kinda shy. Oh yeah, and a picture of Eugene, my turkey... he's a camera hog... Oh yeah, excuse the plate, I had just brought them out some table scrap goodies and strawberries.

This is Black Beauty, she's a very good layer, and a sweet girl.

And this is Whitey, he's always testing the boundaries with me as far as my infirmery hens go. They aren't ready for his type of shinanigan's as of yet but that doesn't stop him from trying.
