I have a production red about 21 weeks old today, that would run to me before to be picked up every time it saw me. Then over weeks, if I put it down (or not pick up) before s/he was done, it would attack my feet/legs. Now it's up to I have to pick it up fast or get bit and if it knows I'm about to put it on the ground it will bite me, it's drawing blood (5x now).

What is up with this chicken?

Frequently over socialized chickens lose the distinction between us and them. She regards you as one of the flock and is giving the same treatment that flockmates would receive. Time to convince that you are dominant and not an equal.

Maybe you're not holding him right and he is trying to train you.

Train it in what way exactly?

I scold it and it becomes more aggressive and challenged like a fight.

"Scold a chicken"? Treat it like a chicken. Subdue it and force it to the ground until it stops struggling. If it gets back up and becomes aggressive repeat the process. Stop thinking of it as an equal and regard it is a mini velociraptor that wants its own way.
