Not a MF, sorry....it's feathering in almost exactly like a male Salmon Faverolle.....what color combo did you use to get that??

A feed store bin....

LOL that's awesome!!

I bought 4 of them and this was the only buffish colored one. The others are blue or black. One has white tips coming in...or it looks like it. That is why I was thinking MF.

I will just have to keep watching and guessing.

Here is my bator now with my staggered hatch..

The far eggs are EE's and Millie Fleur D'uccles.. the near eggs are LF and Bantan Americauna's

Woohoo! Where's the pic?

Justuschicks - that chick is super cute!

Thanks! There are 3 chicks now, 1 pipping, 6 more still up in the air. I do see movement still. One of my chicks lives is a bit iffy. I put him in the brooder with his other pals and had to take my kids to piano lessons and when I cam back he was laying on his side and almost motionless on the cool side of the brooder. I scooped him up and his body was cool. I got to him just in time. I stuck him back in the incubator and gave him some sugar water and vitamins. He has perked up now so I put him back in the brooder to see if the others will huddle with him. My husband say I shouldn't help the weak ones but I was the weak one once so I can help but to pity the weak and feeble. Someone is chirping their fuzzy head off right now.

No pictures, but I can tell you that when you candle, the air sacs are not where they should be.. Mine usually float like a bubble when the egg is on its side. If it is severely ruptured the yolk may be scrambled up with it and it would be hard to see at all.
Some people say they have hatched them by laying them with the air sac up - egg on its side - and not turning it or if they do turn then not until after the first 12-15 days.

I haven't had one hatch yet though.

I'm having bator issues that maybe someone can help with? I made a cabinet-style incubator: outside dimensions 16" x 16" x36". I got a Sportsman heat element, 100mm fan, and a reptile thermostat. The thermostat and heat element are working well but I have a 15 degree variable between the top and bottom rack. The heat element is on the top with the fan behind it. There is a 'shelf' in front of the fan/element for a pan of water. Top tray reading is 99 degrees, bottom tray is 84

What can I do to make the bottom heat up?
